Tintoretto
Paradise, Scuola di San Rocco — Venetian fury
Il Furioso — the furious one. His ambition was to combine the drawing of Michelangelo with the color of Titian. The Paradise in the Doge's Palace is the largest canvas painting in the world; the Scuola di San Rocco cycle is the most sustained feat of narrative painting since the Sistine ceiling.
